our company milestones
Journey starts
TWO’s story starts in the late 1970s in Australia when our co-founder, Cliff Stanley’s father, and grandfather started a small wood venetian blind company in the garage of their Sydney home.
Begin again
After the family business was sold, Cliff decided to start it all again with two colleagues from his family’s company, Ian & Michele Roe. Together, in 2007, they co-founded Made2Trade.
Expansion to USA
Following rapid growth in Australia, 2010 marked the opening of the first international facility in Dallas, Texas—and the beginning of a new chapter as The Window Outfitters. By 2014, the company advanced their U.S. presence with the opening of its first state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Carrollton, TX, marking a major milestone in domestic growth.
Beyond shutters
2018 marked a transformative leap forward as TWO expanded beyond shutters to design and manufacture its own range of interior and exterior shades. This bold move was anchored by the construction of a purpose-built facility in Austin, TX—establishing a new centre of innovation and craftsmanship.
Keep growing
In 2019, production capabilities expanded with the opening of TWO’s first Australian blind manufacturing facility in Clontarf, Queensland. Continued demand and growth led to the launch of a second factory in Seaford, Victoria in 2021—solidifying TWO’s national manufacturing footprint.
Today we have a large family of employees in 8 different cities across 2 different countries. We have 5 manufacturing facilities and distribute from 3 different continents. Our customers are in Australia, New Zealand, America, and Asia.
